Intellectuality kills

Intellectuality kills.

People often think ‘intellectuality’ or ‘rationality’ is something very big to have. Being Intellectual has become the measure of greatness in the society. It’s very wrong notion. Go and ask what it means to be rational. It kills. It kills your innocence. You cannot love, you cannot hate either. You cannot sleep , you cannot wake either. You cannot be happy, you cannot be sad either. All you can do is ‘think, think and overthink’. It sucks. It sucks your energy. It sucks your liveliness. It fucks your life overall.

Intellectuality is nothing but accumulation of more and more thoughts & data. Collecting data from one place, manipulating it in a fancy way & dumping it on another place . ‘Rationality’ or ‘logicness’ is also not something very different. Cutting one thought of the mind with the other. It’s all the play of mind, the play of thoughts. You are trapped in “thought loop” in your own mental world which has very little to do with the reality. You end up making a mess in your mind. ‘Intelligence’ is something different and can be considered as god-gifted.

All these – “ intellect, rationality & intelligence “ are considered to be something great especially by people who lack them. It is thought to be something very big to have. But they don’t realise these are like naked swords and knives hanging on to your body. If you are not very very well trained , you are sure to kill yourself. And if you are well trained person but with wrong intent , you kill others, which in turn makes your life hell.

The real struggle is to switch-off all these “mind-games” & thought loops. How is it possible then? Trying to kill one thought with another will create another thought loop. So this cannot be the final solution obviously, but yes the solution goes through this. Like how do we climb the stairs? To rise above one stair , we have to take it’s help itself. But the effort should be in right direction. Similarly, with ‘right intent’ and with the proper training of how to use this swords, one can not only help oneself but even others to get out of the ‘swamp’. What is the swamp here? All the fuss of the mind. And what is meant by the ‘right intent’? It simply means all the effort should be directed towards how to get above these ‘mind games’.

“Innocence” is the actual great thing to have. It is something to be prayed for. Faith works only for the innocent. Love works only for the innocent. What is ‘love’ actually? Getting totally in sync with someone, surrendering your everything to it without a bit of expectation. It is actually merging of two consciousness. It’s just about giving and taking nothing. There’s no barter system.

What is ‘Bhakti’ ? It is the epitome of one-sided love with god, with nature , with universe. It is the merging of oneself with the supreme consciousness.

What else is greater than love! It is not something to talk about , to read or to lecture about. It is something to experience. All of this is possible only when the fuss of the mind is off. That’s why it is said, keep aside all the non-sense and just say

" नमः पार्वती पतये शिव हर हर महादेव " ♡♡♡

  1. I agree 200%!!!
But what if 'innocence' too become life-taking in one way or other?
I mean as per human nature we human are tend to use anything in both directions like right and wrong....
    Isn't it?😕
  2. I agree a little. Excessive intellectuality leads to too much thinking, which can make people overthink, detach from emotions, and even become inactive. On the other hand, bhakti (love ) is pure, full of calmness, and built on a strong belief in the possibility of evolving into a great human being for our surroundings.
